Poetry1:- Love is magical!!

Image
Love is magical!! Love is magical… Is it? I wonder!! The darkness & this innocent little twinkling star, He twinkles at the sight of rose buds planted on the ground. And the rose buds tremble with shyness Blushing deeply within its closed petals She fancies to reach the sky and paint The star in her own color Only to bathe herself in the starlight. No matter, how far off from each other, The wind delivers their love letters And here, comes the moment of the night The star shimmers & the bud shivers Wishing her Good night, Guiding her sleep Gleaming brightly in the night sky Waiting patiently for morning to rise The sparrow chirrups and the night disappears The soothing wind and the rose bud blinks Blinks after a deep tranquillizing sleep And… She blooms!! She blooms for her love Unfolding her closed petals Slowly , and then all at once Only to spread her fragrance to Her beloved star, Hiding in the morning blue sky. She paints him with her scarlet red color Cools him with h...

The Post Office by Tagore- A Review! Book in the middle of hibiscus- दही, दही, दही…. This distant loud tone of the curd seller on the road side. The lady fetches a bowl, running in the courtyard, Only to have the white curd for her child that Relishes her with smile   Ringing of the brass bell And the calling- राम दाना , राम दाना , The little kid holding kurta of his grandfather Insisting- जल्दी चलो , वरना वो चला जाएगा Letting him wait longer than usual, Yearning for the royal grain. Giggling at the sound of   राम दाना , राम दाना  ||   Squeaks of a squirrel Jumping, hopping, running & playing with soil Enjoying peanuts & pulses Waving its bushy tail Roaming all around with An innocent face.   Cooing of the brown pigeon dove Calling its female friend Saddened by her unresponse, Flies away in search of Another friend. Pigeons flocking together , Pecking corn & rice grains Taking swift fl...

Reading 12:- Dead Poet's Society- A Review!

Image
Source- Google I came across this book- " Dead Poets Society "  in the year 2016 and since then, it has been so close to my heart. I guess, the cover page in itself is enough to make one feel elated.  The protagonist- Mr. Keating makes my heart gleam with sunshine. His energetic recitation to the boys- "O Captain! My Captain!" fills me with enthusiasm where I in my study room with this book end up reciting- Yes, Mr. Keating- I will refer you as "O Captain! My Captain!" and nothing else, because you are the Captain of this beautiful Ship of Life in this book directing the minds. Oh! this beautiful poem- "Gather ye rosebuds while ye may, Old time is still a flying. And this same flower that smiles today Tomorrow will be dying." This exquisite and a lovely piece- "Gather ye rosebuds... I never get tired of reading and reciting it.  This phrase- "Carpe Diem", its like everything in & around me signals me- "Go Girl, go and s...

Reading 11:- And the Mountains Echoed- by Khaled Hosseini- A Review!!

  Hey! Do you have a sibling? The one, whom you adore as your little one. One who has grown up under your eyes from crawling on the ground to walking. A one whom you protect from scorching sun by standing by side as a shade. One with whom you fight over a game of ludo or carrom; fight for the Tv remote to ensure control over the channels, fight for sleeping over your side of the bed, over a new pencil being given to your sibling and not you. And with days and years, passing under the roof of togetherness, rises one morning with the rays of emptiness within you. A strange void making its presence felt when your loving demand- छोटी , एक गिलास पानी ला दे !! (choti, bring a glass of water) is unanswered.  When there is no one to crib you for not touring around the streets on your scooty. When you start finding your little one in others having the same name as your sibling’s. Her rough sketches, her random letter- A, B, C…her rocks & pebbles are only valuables left behi...

Reading 10 :-Aavarana- The Veil by S.L. Bhyrappa- A Review!!

I remember, every time, I tell to my friends that I love reading history- their standard response would be- “Oh! Its such a boring subject. Dates, facts and events that relate to past, what would I do, knowing about the past events.” And, how I wish, I could make them understand one simple thing- “It’s only our past events that shape our present and define our future.” History is all about learning from past and building our future, by avoiding events which have been committed in the past.” But, I have always failed myself in taking them beyond dates, beyond facts to a world that is full of   interesting stories- stories that relate to us, stories that we ought to know, stories that open the hidden doors which have been neglected so often. At the same time, it's so important that these stories are narrated the way it has happened without any re-making or hiding anything. And this book- “Aavarana by SL Bhyrappa”, exactly attempts to reveal the truth the way it is. “History is ...
